Farmers & Merchants Savings Bank offers several electronic services to assist our customers with their banking needs at their convenience. Choose the services that work best for you.

Online Banking

Online@FMSB is an internet banking service that allows you to access your Farmers & Merchants account information - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, from anywhere you have an internet connection.

There are two ways you can enroll in FMSB's internet banking service: 1) Click on "First Time User" in the Online@FMSB box in the upper right corner of the home page, simply click here after reviewing our Online Banking Agreement to begin the enrollment process. Once we've received your enrollment request, a staff member will verify your account status and contact you with your login credentials.; or 2) Complete a paper application (Online Enrollment Form and Agreement) and return the form to Farmers & Merchants Savings Bank (Waukon or Decorah). Once we've received your enrollment request (either electronically or by paper) we will complete your enrollment by verifying your information and notifying you of your temporary User ID and password within 1-2 business days.

All of your FMSB accounts will be "linked" together in what is referred to as a "portfolio." Accounts which are linked will have one common owner and signer. You may request that certain accounts not be linked.

Mobile Banking

FMSB offers a mobile banking application called Mobiliti. Mobiliti enables our internet banking-enrolled customers to access their accounts and perform a variety of banking functions from the convenience of a mobile device, such as a cell phone, tablet, or personal digital assistant (PDA). New users to internet banking will receive an option to enroll in mobile banking during their initial login. Customers can enroll now, request to be asked later, or decline the use of the mobile banking services. If a customer chooses to decline mobile banking initially, they may choose to enroll at a later date at their discretion. Easy ways to access Mobiliti include:

  • Download the App - search "TouchBanking" in your app store (i.e., Google Play) and enter app code: fmsbmobile
  • Mobile web - secure browser access from your web-enabled device
  • Text - you text us and we will text you back. You can also get alerts from us via text*

Please note as of June 25, 2017 access to the Mobiliti mobile banking application will require the use of Transport Layer Security (TLS) version 1.2 on the end user's mobile device.  TLS v1.2 is the layer that ensures that connection from the app to the platform is secure, encrypted, and safe from malicious attacks.

Mobile Deposit

FMSB Mobile Deposit Services are now available to allow customers to make deposits to their checking, savings, or money market accounts by capturing the image of the front and back of a check and delivering the images and associated deposit information to FMSB for review. This FREE service is discretionary for qualified customers who use the Mobile Banking app. In order for a customer's item to be considered "eligible" for mobile deposit, it must be properly endorsed with the restrictive endorsement (For FMSB Mobile Deposit Only) before the customer's signature. Deposit limits are also in place per item and daily. Please refer to the Mobile Deposit Terms & Conditions or Mobile Deposit FAQ's for more details regarding this service.

Bill Pay

Managing your money is easier and more convenient than you think. With FMSB's BillPay, you're in control of your finances all from one safe and secure site. BillPay can only be used with a checking account. Once you've accessed your account (through our internet banking service), simply click "Bill Pay" to review the agreement for those services. Upon acceptance of the BillPay Agreement you will be forwarded to the Payment Center. From this Payment Center, you can download account statements from certain other vendors, or enter your bill information, and choose when and how much to pay. The Bill Pay system will make the payment for you and deduct the amount from your account on the designated date. The basic BillPay service is free. Additional fees may be applicable depending on the types of special services requested (e.g. next day payments when available). Click on the Popmoney tab within the Bill Pay Center to begin using Popmoney. Popmoney is an innovative personal payment service offered by FMSB to assist our customers in eliminating the hassles of checks and cash. Now, sending and receiving money is as easy as emailing and texting. And you don't need a new account to send or receive money. Just use your FMSB checking account. You will be notified when the transaction is complete. All account information is confidential. The recipient will only see your first name, last name, and the message you wrote for the payment. When you send a payment to an email address, the recipient will also see your email address. Similarly, you will not be able to see the recipient's account information. Some examples of a few of the convenient ways to use Popmoney include:

  • Send money to your child at college
  • Send a gift to family or friends
  • Reimburse friends for that fun outing
  • Pay your babysitter or your lawn care service provider
  • Pay rent to your landlord or roommates

Transfer Money - A2A

A2A (Account to Account) Transfers allow FMSB customers to make account transfers to/from their account(s) between another financial institution and FMSB. To transfer funds to/from another financial institution you must first "Add an Account." Once the validation process has been completed, you can make electronic A2A transfers at your convenience. There is no charge for inbound transfers to FMSB; there is a $2.00 fee for outbound transfers.


FMSB has a messaging service called eAlerts. eAlerts is a messaging system providing customers a way to get alerts/notifications via text or email. It's so simple! Just log onto your Online Banking and look for the "Messages" box with your choice of alerts. Examples of alerts include notification of a deposit, checks clearing, ATM/Debit card transactions, and much more.


Eligibility/Access Requirements

You must have at least one of the following accounts with Farmers & Merchants Savings Bank in order to enroll in Online@FMSB internet banking):

  • Checking
  • Savings
  • Money Market
  • Certificate of Deposit
  • IRA
  • Loan

You must have an active account with an Internet Service Provider, and a browser that is compatible with FMSB's Online Software. Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Google Chrome with 128 bit encryption required. If you need to upgrade your browser, you can download it free by clicking on your choice above.
