Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC)
A Home Equity Line of Credit is an open-end line of credit secured by your home. Once the Home Equity Line of Credit has been established, you can use the credit to make purchases for your home improvement projects or for a variety of other purchases. You will be billed monthly for your payment, based on the amount of credit used. Interest is variable and accrues only on the credit used. See your tax preparer for tax advantages with the HELOC.
